My parents live 600 miles away from me and I have not been home that often. But throughout my college years, I have faithfully supported them with logmein-free. I also made their desktop to sync with dropbox so that they never lose their data. Thankfully they did not have complete hardware failures yet, but I want to prepare for such cases too.
