I've got a laptop and a desktop, both running Win7 Pro. Both are cabled to simple 1Gbps network. If I create a homegroup on one, the other reports "there is currently no homegroup on the network." Same result when I try both ways. Firewall services are off.
Both computers running IPv4 and IPv6. HomeGroup Troubleshooter yields nothing.
Any suggestions?

Internet download speed is much lower than upload one
My main PC is directly connected to router/modem. I am using AT&T Fiber Optic with 300 mbps speed. Recently download speed decreased to a crawl. I ran a speed test - download speed was 4 mbps while upload was 367 mbps (???). Reset the modem and ran antivirus scan. No change.
My other PC connected via WiFi shows higher download speed...
Any suggestions ?

Internet lost after hibernation ?!?
Hello,
since 2 weeks I have no internet connection after hibernation.
When I run a diagnostics I get an error message "DNS server not responding" but when I check the Internet connection this one is flag as active ?!?
I didn't' make any update of the OS or the drivers before this issue. I change the provider DNS to the Google one with no effect.
Any idea of what is going on ?

Im online,yet-Im not
PC stops loading web sites at random times. Some times Im online for a few hours,sometimes an hour or so. Goole,Opera and AVG browsers do the same. All devices "show Okay".PC shows Im online,connected, yet-Im not! Dont know what to do next. I hate Win10, love Win 7. Do not want to upgrade..any help out there?

ERR erros (timed out, socket not connected etc)

I keep having all types of ERR errors when browsing internet, most common are : ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED , socket not connected, err timed out)
These errors are not permanent, for example i try to go to a site and it gives me error then after refreshing site for few minutes site gets loaded and then after few minutes i get errors again. Few sites like youtube dont display...

Using lan and wlan question
Using Win7 on a laptop that has a trading program.
Always used wlan with no problems until now where I'm am experiencing disconnections.
Installed lan drivers and now hardwired.
When removing the ethernet cable then using wifi, what is the default process when I reconnect the ethernet cable.
Will it switch over to lan automatically or stay on wlan?

Solved Win7 (on hyper-v) will not connect to win10 file share
This is driving me nuts!
All of my win10 boxes connect to the file share just fine, even with some higher security settings. Win7 does not. Also, the Hyperv box has the same problem.
Assume:
SERVER = win10 home with the shared folder
CLIENT1 = win7 home running on hyper-v on win server 2019
HYPER = server 2019
